Sam Smith took home four golden gramophones at the
57th Annual Grammy Awards. But there were plenty of other artist who
earned their share of hardware. Photo by Michael Tran/FilmMagic via

Sam
Smith took home four Grammy awards at the 57th annual edition of
music’s biggest night, including Song of the Year, Record of the Year
and Best New Artist. It’s quite a haul for someone unknown to mainstream
audiences just a year ago.
“I’m having a really, really good night,” said the 22-year-old Smith
upon receiving his Grammy for Song of the Year, which he won for “Stay
With Me.”
Though Smith was clearly the night’s big winner, his wins represent
just a small fraction of the total number of golden gramophones handed
out at the Staples Center in Los Angeles—there were 83 in all.
Beyoncé and Pharrell pulled in three apiece, as did Rosanne Cash.
Plenty of music’s top earners grabbed a smaller share of Grammy glory,
including Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett (Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album),
Tiesto (Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical) and Rihanna (Best
Rap/Sung Collaboration, with Eminem). And Beck shocked the world by
nabbing the award for Album of the Year.

Kim Kardashian looked super-skinny in a throwback bikini photo she posted on Instagram Feb. 5.
In the photo (center), Kim sports a tiny sequined bikini that accentuated her slender waist.
During
the past few months, Kardashian has openly lamented on Twitter and
Instagram that she wants to lose at about 15 pounds after having gained
some weight recently.
Last year, Kim credited a low-carb
ketogenic Atkins diet for her 56-pound weight loss just six months after
giving birth. Kardashian said her weight loss secrets also included
corset waist training, Examiner reported.
Waist training involves wearing a corset
for extended periods of time to make it smaller. Kim said she did waist
training in the weeks leading up to her May 2014 wedding to regain her
signature hourglass figure.
While it may sound odd,
waist-training, or the “Corset Diet,” is a weight loss trend some women
use to slim down their midsection. The Corset Diet can help women lose
up to six inches from their waists, said Vanna B, author of Waist Training 101.
Actress
Jessica Alba credited wearing double corsets for her dramatic post-baby
weight loss. Similarly, Brooke Burke Charvet said wearing a corset
fueled her weight loss after each of her four pregnancies.
In addition to waist training, Kim has credited rigorous workouts and
a low carb ketogenic style Atkins diet for her 56-pound post-baby
weight loss.
Focusing on healthy fats and going low-carb promotes
rapid weight loss by forcing the body to burn fat for fuel, said
obesity expert Dr. Eric Westman, co-author of Keto Clarity.
Kardashian’s
ketogenic Atkins diet consisted of 1,800 to 2,200 calories and limited
daily carb intake to less than 60 grams. Kim’s daily menu combined
proteins such as fish, chicken and meat and healthy fats like olive oil,
avocados and nuts.
Low-carb diets keep blood sugar levels stable
and prevent food cravings, which helps with mental clarity and boosts
mood, said Colette Heimowitz, author of The New Atkins Made Easy.
Dietitian
Dr. Jeff Volek, a professor at Ohio State University, agrees. “It was
nothing short of an epiphany when I changed to a ketogenic diet 20 years
ago,” Dr. Volek, author of the Art and Science of Low-Carbohydrate Living, told me. “I felt better, more satiated, and had more consistent energy.”
Kardashian
also exercised almost every day, combining rigorous cardio workouts
with strength-training and lots of squats. Kim is proud of the hard work
she has put in, and slammed rumors that she got weight loss or other
plastic surgery to slim down. Related: Woman credits ketogenic Paleo diet for 88-pound weight loss without exercise
Here is Amy's secret as revealled by Saturday magazine .... Enjoy.
MODEL and presenter Amy Willerton, 22, tells Saturday magazine her beauty secrets
Which beauty products do you swear by?
My
top choice is Mama Mio Boob Tube. A woman’s neck and chest area are the
first to show ageing, especially if you’re a sun lover. I’ve been using
this since I was 16 – it’s organic, smells gorgeous and really works. What’s your best beauty tip?
Make-up
is an enhancer, but you want to look like you’ve got great skin, not
great make-up. Self-confidence is the most beautiful thing you can have. Which other women do you consider beautiful?
Kate
Middleton – she doesn’t wear a lot of make-up, she’s never forcefully
styled and she looks effortless. She’s got that typical English rose
colouring – it’s not exotic and some people may say it’s boring, but she
works it and she’s not trying to be anyone else.
I’m a size six, but my weight fluctuates because I love food
Amy Willerton
What’s your signature fragrance?
Lancôme
Hypnôse. It’s very citrusy and fresh. But I also like classics such as
Chanel No 5 and Tom Ford Black Orchid – I often mix a few to create a
personal scent. How do you pamper yourself?
I
start with a good workout, then I take a hot shower and slather on a
sparkly body cream that smells great, give myself a detoxifying facial,
then put a moisturising mask on. My skin looks great the next day. I
also use coconut oil on my body and to combat dry hair. Do you diet?
I’m
a size six, but my weight fluctuates because I love food. When I need
to be in peak condition, I skip junk food and avoid heavy carbs and
anything deep-fried. I ensure I eat a raw, natural diet as much as
possible with lots of fish and steamed vegetables.
